A Dept. of Education project involving reroofing a existing classroom building. Haas Insulation applied a 2″ thick, 3 pound density sprayed polyurethane roof foam insulation over the existing built up roofing. Sprayed Polyurethane Roofing Foam Insulation is a perfect solution for reroofing of low sloped roofing. Using SPF offers both economic advantages and is good for the environment. The economic advantages are that there is no need to tear off the existing roof resulting in a cost savings and keeping waste materials out of landfills. The system is sustainable- it only requires recoating every 5-10 years. SPF roofs are highly durable. If a SPF roof leaks, it is only isolated to the location of the penetrating source and can be easily detected and repaired. SPF roofs are know to have some of the highest wind up-lift resistance of any roof systems in the marketplace and can withstand Category 5 hurricanes.
